Herbert Daniel, DVM, MVSc

Head of Urgent Care Service

Dr. Daniel is a highly experienced veterinarian and general practitioner who has been serving the small animal community for over 25 years in Orlando, Florida and has been practicing veterinary medicine for over 50 years. Dr. Daniel graduated form veterinary school at the age of 21! He went on to complete masters program with research focus on genetics. He moved to the US in the 90’s and has been providing compassionate care for his patients since. Dr. Daniel has a passion for all aspects of veterinary medicine, but he has a particular interest in surgical procedures. He is highly skilled in performing a wide range of surgical procedures and is committed to staying up-to-date with the latest advances in surgical techniques & technologies.

Dr. Daniel brings a wealth of experience to his role as the leader of the urgent care department at AVC in Orlando, FL. Previously, he was the practice owner of two vet hospitals, serving as a general practitioner. Now, he is proud to work alongside his two sons, both of whom are board-certified specialists, in their shared dream of building a state-of-the-art veterinary clinic. While he has a passion for all aspects of vet medicine, his expertise in surgical procedures is highly valued, he looks forward to applying his knowledge and skills in the urgent care department where he will continue to provide top-notch care to pets in need.

Outside of work, Dr. Daniel is an accomplished violinist and an avid gardener. Dr. Daniel and his wife Rita love to travel across the globe. They have traveled to many countries together and often travel back to India to visit family and friends. Dr. Daniel is also deeply committed to his church and local Indian community, and he often volunteers his time and resources to help those in need.
